Three goals in a span of just 3:27 broke open a scoreless match and propelled the visiting Buffalo to a 3-0 victory over the Falcons. BGSU, which lost for the first time in MAC this season, battled the Bulls to a scoreless draw for nearly 82 minutes.
UB's Paula Listrani broke the scoreless tie at 81:43, assisted on a Samantha Swerdloff goal at 83:35, then completed the scoring at the 85:10 mark, off a Swerdloff feed. The Bulls scored on three consecutive shots.
UB's Jaime Adams earned the shutout, making six saves. Erika Flanders made four stops in net for the home side. The Falcons outshot the Bulls, 15-11, but UB held a 7-6 edge in shots on goal.
The loss marked BGSU's first home setback of the season in five outings. BG also fell from the ranks of the MAC unbeaten, dropping to 2-1 in league play (5-3 overall). Buffalo remained undefeated at 8-0-1 overall and 2-0 in league action.
