Women's Golf Tied For Fourth At Penn State

The Bowling Green State University women's golf is tied for fourth out of 16 schools after the first day of the 2000 Nittany Lion Fall Invitational.
The Falcons team total of 319 is 17 shots behind Penn State's 302. James Madison is second at 310, while Maryland is at 316. William & Mary is tied with BG heading into Saturday's second round. Bowling Green concludes its fall schedule with the final 18 holes on Sunday at Penn State.
Freshman Jenny Schnipke (Kalida, Ohio) and sophomore Shelley Binzel (Dublin, Ohio/Coffman) both shot 78s on Friday and are tied for 12th place. Sophomore Stephanie Elsea (Worthington, Ohio/Kilbourne) shot an 81, while Emily Hassen (Berkey, Ohio/Notre Dame) had an 82. Rounding out BG's individual scores were Shannon Smith with an 83 and freshman Julie Wise with a 93.
