Five Women's Golfers Named To NGCA All-American Scholar Team

Bowling Green State University women's golf team had five members of its 1999-2000 squad named to the National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team. Only 117 Division I women golfers were named to the team.
To be nominated, the student-athlete must: (1) Have an overall grade-point average of 3.40 or higher for the entire collegiate career, (2) Be a sophomore, junior or senior academically and have been in attendance at least one full academic year at the college making the nomination, (3) Be of high moral character and in good standing at the college making the nomination, and (4) Need to have played in 66% of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated.
Bowling Green's honorees were Angel Garrett (Noblesville, Ind.) who maintains a 3.75 in physical therapy, Missy Hinds (Noblesville, Ind.), who graduated with a 3.76 in business/pre-law, Kate Kolesnik (Oshawa, Ontario), who graduated with a 3.58 in Physical Science, Shannon Sharp (Centerville, Ohio), who graduated with a 3.60 in Science Communications, and Shannon Smith (Waynesville, Ohio) who maintains a 3.59 in Sport Management.
