Hockey Player Earns Conference Honor

Bowling Green State University freshman center D'Arcy McConvey (Richmond Hill, Ontario/Wexford Raiders) has been selected Central Collegiate Hockey Association Rookie of the Week for his three-assist performance in the Falcons split with Nebraska Omaha this past weekend.

McConvey had the primary assist on BG's lone goal in Friday's 3-1 setback to the Mavericks.

In Saturday's 7-2 triumph over UNO, McConvey won an offensive zone face-off to earn an assist on BG's second goal. After the Mavericks had cut the Falcon lead to 3-1, McConvey started the scoring play on BG's fourth goal.

He had a plus/minus rating of +3 for the weekend (+1 on Friday, +2 on Saturday).

BG will be idle the next two weekends. The Falcons first contest following exams will be Dec. 28 at Mercyhurst.
