Falcons Third In Meet At Michigan State

The Bowling Green State University women's gymnastics team finished third in the Michigan State Invitational Saturday night. Bowling Green has a team total of 192.125 points to finish behind the host school, which had 194.900 points, and New Hampshire, which had 194.400 points. Southeast Missouri with 190.175 points rounded out the field.
The top individual for the Falcons was sophomore Marny Oestreng who won the vault with a score of 9.925 and was fifth in the all-around with a 38.550 total.
Jamie Kent was fifth in the vault with a score of 9.775 for the next best finish by a BG gymnast.
Ann Marie Kassouf was the top BG competitor in the bars with a score of 9.500 which was good for 13th place, Rachel Hall and Oestreng tied for seventh on the beam both earning a 9.750 score, and Hall, Amber Curry, and Cristin McClellan earned scores of 9.775 in the floor exercise to tie for sixth.
Bowling Green posted the best team score in the floor (48.725) and was second in the vault (48.450).
