The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team remained one of the best shooting teams in the country with the release of the latest NCAA statistics showing the Falcons second in the country in field goal percentage and 16th in free throw percentage.
Bowling Green is shooting 50.3% from the field this season to rank behind only North Carolina, which is shooting 50.4%, among Division I teams across the country. In fact, those are the only two teams in the country, in Div. I, shooting over the break-even mark for the season.
From the charity stripe, BG is shooting 74.4%. Montana State leads the country converting 78.5% of their free throws.
Individually, Bowling Green sophomore guard Keith McLeod is third in the country in three-point field goal percentage converting 49.5% of his attempts. Jonathan Whitworth from Middle Tennessee State leads the country shooting 50.5%.
