The Bowling Green men's basketball team, hoping to gain an at-large berth to the NCAA Tournament, will be featured on national television Sunday (March 12) as part of the ESPN Men's Tournament Selection Special. Head coach Dan Dakich and the Falcons will be part of a live remote during the show.
The 90-minute show is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time. Chris Fowler, Dick Vitale and Digger Phelps will be in the ESPN studios, with Quinn Buckner and Michelle Tafoya also slated to be on the telecast. The studio hosts will speak with the coaches of several teams, including BGSU's Dakich, periodically during the show, as well as show reactions of the teams watching the announcement of the tournament pairings.
Cincinnati and Notre Dame are among the other schools that will be featured on the show.
The Falcons have an overall record of 22-7, and won the Mid-American Conference's regular- season title with a league mark of 14-4. Yesterday (March 9), senior forward Anthony Stacey was named the MAC's Player of the Year.
