Nikki Rouhana Is The MAC Player Of The Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Bowling Green's Nikki Rouhana has been named the Mid-American Conference Softball Player of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday (April 18) morning. Rouhana, a junior first baseman, earns the honor for the first time in her career.
Rouhana batted .455 in BGSU's five games last week, and she had four hits in six at-bats (.667) in the Falcons' three-game MAC series vs. Akron. Rouhana had two doubles among her five hits last week, and had an on-base percentage of .563 and a slugging pct. of .636 in the five games.
In the Akron series, Rouhana had an on-base pct. of .700 and a 1.000 slugging pct. as the Brown and Orange won two of three games. She scored a run and drove in three last week.
On the season, Rouhana is hitting a team-best .350, and is hitting a whopping .600 (9-for-15) in MAC contests. She leads the Falcons with a .453 OBP, including a .636 on-base pct. in league play. Rouhana'a slugging percentage is .867 in MAC action, as she has four doubles among her nine hits vs. conference foes.
The Falcons are 19-11 overall and 4-3 in MAC play heading into Tuesday afternoon's (April 18) doubleheader vs. visiting Miami. Following that 2:00 p.m. twinbill at the BGSU Softball Field, the team will take on 12th-ranked Michigan in a single game Wednesday (April 19). That game will begin at 3:00 p.m. at U-M's Alumni Field.
