WOMEN'S GOLF TEAM TIES FOR SECOND AT GRAND VALLEY LAKER INVITATIONAL

The Bowling Green State University women's golf team continued its 2000 spring season tying for second place in the 2000 Lady Laker Spring Invitational hosted by Grand Valley State University.

Leading the way for the Falcons was freshman Shelley Binzel, who tied-for-10th individually with a 36-hole total of 162 (84-76). Her final round 76 was the second lowest score of the day on Sunday. BG's Sunday team total of 320 was the lowest of the day. Freshman Stephanie Elsea finished 18th with a 36- hole total of 165, tying her best two-round score.

BG's next competition will be April 9-10 at the Bronco Invitational, hosted by Western Michigan University.
