Men's Track Sprint Medley Relay Sets School Record

The Bowling Green men's sprint medley relay team of senior Rah'Sheen Clay (Cleveland, Ohio/Collinwood), sophomore Ricco Oglesby (Columbus, Ohio/South), freshman Zerian Peterson (Lima, Ohio) and senior Pat Miller (Waterloo, Ind./DeKalb) broke a 28-year-old school record with a time of 3:21.06 to win its heat, and place second overall, at the 73rd Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays.
The 1972 squad of Rex Miller, Ed Watkins, Ted Farver and Olympic Gold Medalist Dave Wottle held the previous mark at 3:21.8.
Also on Friday, senior John Hustler (Cobourg, Ontario) finished fifth in the javelin with a season-best throw of 62.52 meters (205'1").
BG's 4x400 meter relay team of Zerian Peterson, freshman Keith Battle (Farmington Hills, Mich./Harrison), Miller and Clay won its heat in a time of 3:12.41 and has qualified for Saturday's final.
Oglesby placed 38th in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.77.
On the women's side, junior Lori Williams (Erie, Pa./McDowell) placed second in the discus throw. Williams recorded a toss of 50.86 meters (166'10") to fall just over two feet shy of the NCAA provisional-qualifying standard. Senior Andrea Cook (Marysville, Ohio) finished third in the women's pole vault with a mark of 3.55 meters (11'07.75").
