Women's Golf Finishes 10th At Wolverine Invitational

The Bowling Green State University women's golf squad had a team total of 345 during Sunday's final round to finish 10th at the 2000 Wolverine Invitational hosted by the University of Michigan.
The Falcons were led by freshman Jenny Schnipke (Kalida, Ohio) who tied-for-21st in her first collegiate tournament with a 54-hole total of 252. Sophomore Shelley Binzel (Dublin, Ohio/Coffman) tied-for-33rd with a 261, while classmate Stephanie Elsea (Worthington, Ohio/Kilbourne) placed 47th with a 266.
Bowling Green will host its lone tournament of the school year this coming weekend (Sept. 23-24) at Forrest Creason Golf Course. Joining the host Falcons are Oakland University, University of Toledo, Western Michigan University, Xavier University and Youngstown State University. Competition begins both days with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
