Brown Edges White, 5-3, In Hockey Intersquad

The Brown squad defeated the White team, 5-3, in BGSU's annual hockey intersquad game Friday at the BGSU Ice Arena.
Ryan Wetterberg and Curtis Valentine each scored twice for the Brown squad who also had a single goal by Roger Leonard. D'Arcy McConvey, Phil Barski and Grady Moore tallied for the White team.
Tyler Masters started in goal for the Brown squad and stopped 13 of 14 shots. Jason Gural finished the contest and stopped four of six shots. Shawn Timm began the game in goal for the White team and stopped 10 of 13 shots. Bobby Povtak turned aside five of seven shots in relief of Timm.
The Falcons will play their annual exhibition contest on Friday, Oct. 6 vs. York (Ontario) University. Face-off is slated for 7 p.m. at the BGSU Ice Arena.
