Women's Cross Country Bests Ohio, 25-31

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University women's cross country team remained undefeated with a 25-31 win over visiting Ohio Saturday morning (Sept. 9). The Falcons have finished first in each of the season's two races to date.
Individually, OU's Jacki Waller was first to cross the finish line, completing the course in a time of 18:22. But, the Falcons had the next four finishers, led by sophomore Joy Echler. Echler finished in a time of 18:34. She was followed by seniors Christine Thompson (18:55) and Lisa Mariea (18:56) and freshman Jordan Hartmann (18:58).
The Falcons will return to action next Saturday (Sept. 16), when BGSU hosts the Mel Brodt Invitational. That meet will be the final home meet of the 2000 campaign for the Brown and Orange.
