Women's Basketball Ranked Among NCAA Leaders

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The NCAA has released the latest women's basketball statistics, and Bowling Green State University is listed in several categories. As a team, the Falcons are ranked among the national leaders in three-point field goals made per game and three-point percentage. The NCAA statistics are current through games of Jan. 8.
Through 13 games the Falcons were sinking three-point field goals at a rate of 7.38 per game, having made a total of 96 at that time. That average was good for ninth in the nation. BGSU was 14th in the nation with a long-range success rate of .403, having made 96 of 238 three-point attempts this year.
After Tuesday's (Jan. 9) 82-63 win over Central Michigan, the Falcons are now shooting .402 from three-point range and averaging 7.50 treys per contest.
The Falcons of head coach Dee Knoblauch will take a 7-7 overall record and a 3-0 Mid-American Conference slate into Saturday's (Jan. 13) home game vs. arch-rival Toledo. Tipoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at Anderson Arena (5,000).
