Gymnastics Hosts All-Ohio Championships

Bowling Green, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University women's gymnastics squad, owners of the 10th highest score in NCAA action this season, will host Kent State and Ohio State at the All-Ohio Championships, at 2 p.m., Sunday, in Anderson Arena. Tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for youth.
BGSU is the defending champion of this meet, the Golden Flashes, who were picked to win the MAC this season, have the 19th best score in the nation, and the Buckeyes boast the 15th best mark in the country.
BGSU AND THE NATIONAL RANKINGS
The Falcons are 10th overall in team score (194.825), fourth in the vault (48.775), seventh in the floor (49.200), 11th in the beam (48.525) and 13th in the bars (48.625).
INDIVIDUALLY
Junior Marny Oestreng, the current MAC Gymnast of the Week, is ranked first in the nation in the vault (9.925), third in the floor exercise (9.975), 15th in the all-around (39.050) and 18th in the uneven bars (9.875).
Freshman Pia Svojall is fourth in the country in the vault (9.875) and freshman Melissa Popovich is ranked 21st in the country in the floor exercise (9.875).
