Women's Basketball Among NCAA Three-Point Leaders

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The NCAA has released the latest women's basketball statistics, and Bowling Green State University is listed in several categories. As a team, the Falcons are ranked among the national leaders in three-point field goals made per game and three-point percentage, while individually, sophomore Kim Griech (Tallmadge, Ohio/Tallmadge) is listed in the latter category. The NCAA statistics are current through games of Monday, Jan. 15.
Through 15 games, the Falcons are sinking three-point field goals at a rate of 7.53 per game. That average is good for seventh in the nation, up two spots from a week ago. BGSU is 11th in the nation with a long-range success rate of .405, having made 113 of 279 three-point attempts this year.
Griech is tied for 25th in the country with a three-point field-goal percentage of .433. She has made 29 treys in 67 attempts this year.
The Falcons of head coach Dee Knoblauch will take a 8-7 overall record and a 4-0 Mid-American Conference slate into Monday's (Jan. 22) game at Kent State University. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at KSU's M.A.C. Center.
