Cross Country Teams To Run At Notre Dame

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University men's cross country team is preparing for this weekend's Notre Dame Invitational. The race, the Falcons' fourth of the 2001 season, will be held Friday (Oct. 5) in Notre Dame, Ind.
The Falcons will be participating in the Blue Division race, scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m. local time (6:00 p.m. BG time). That race will be the fifth of the day at the Notre Dame Golf Course on the west side of campus.
Along with the Falcons of head coach Sterling Martin, other teams scheduled to compete in the 8K Blue Division race include Ball State, Butler, Cal Poly Pomona, Edinboro, Illinois State, Indiana, Loyola (Ill.), Montana, Northern Iowa, host Notre Dame, Ohio State, Truman State, Utah State, Valparaiso, Western Michigan, Wichita State and Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
Following Friday's race, the Falcons will have just one more meet -- the Michigan Interregional on Oct. 14 -- prior to the Mid-American Conference Championship. The league meet will be held in Ypsilanti, Mich., on Oct. 27.
