Cross Country Teams To Run At Notre Dame

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University women's cross country team is preparing for this weekend's Notre Dame Invitational. The race, the Falcons' fourth of the 2001 season, will be held Friday (Oct. 5) in Notre Dame, Ind.
The Falcons will be participating in the Gold Division race, scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. local time (3:00 p.m. BG time). That race will be the first of five that afternoon at the Notre Dame Golf Course on the west side of campus.
Along with the Falcons of head coach Cami Wells, other teams scheduled to compete in the 5K Gold Division race include Anderson, Arkansas State, Cal Poly Pomona, Calvin, Central Michigan, Hillsdale, UIC, Northern Illinois, Notre Dame "B", Oakland, Slippery Rock, Toronto, Valparaiso, Windsor, Wisconsin-Green Bay and UW-Milwaukee.
Following Friday's race, the Falcons will have just one more meet -- the Michigan Interregional on Oct. 14 -- prior to the Mid-American Conference Championship. The league meet will be held in Ypsilanti, Mich., on Oct. 27.
