Cleveland, Ohio - Bowling Green defeated Cleveland State on Friday night in men's soccer with a 2-0 decision over the Vikings in Cleveland.
Senior Tony Malik and Detrick Matthews scored goals in the second half to even BGSU's record at 6-6-1 overall.
Matthews scored on a loose ball in front of the net at 49:38 to give the Falcons a 1-0 lead. Malik iced the game later in the half on a penalty kick at 82:19.
Sophomore David DeGraff had four saves in the net for BGSU. Both teams were even in shot attempts at 15 apiece while the Falcons had a 10-6 advantage in corner kicks.
The Falcons host Detroit-Mercy at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28, at Cochrane Field.
