Falcons Finish 6th at Women's Wolverine Invitational

Ann Arbor, Mich. - The Bowling Green State University women's golf team placed sixth in this weekend's Wolverine Invitational hosted by the University of Michigan. The Falcons finished with a two-round score of 700. Michigan won the Invite with a team score of 623.
Junior Shelley Binzel led BGSU with a combined score of 167 to finish tied for 12th. She shot a 84 in round one and a score of 83 in her second round. Binzel was followed by Jenny Schnipke (T-25th, 174), Shannon Smith (T-25th, 174), Stephanie Elsea (T-45th, 185), Julie Wise (57th, 195) and Kari Evans (61st, 200).
BGSU plays its final fall competition next weekend (Oct. 12-13) at Eastern Kentucky University.
