BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The NCAA has released the final region rankings of the season for volleyball, and Bowling Green State University is among the ranked teams. The Falcons of head coach Denise Van De Walle are 10th in the Mideast Region (District 2).
Wisconsin of the Big Ten Conference (21-3) leads the regional poll, while Northern Illinois (sixth, 20-4) and Ball State (ninth, 18-7) are the lone Mid-American Conference teams ranked ahead of the Brown and Orange.
The Falcons, 19-6 overall and 11-5 in MAC play, are tied for the East Division lead entering the final weekend of the regular season. The Falcons will play at Kent State in Friday (Nov. 16) action, before returning home to host Toledo Saturday night (Nov. 17). Both matches begin at 7:00 p.m.
The Falcons have clinched a berth in the MAC Tournament, and need just one win this weekend to earn a homecourt berth for the quarterfinal round. The MAC Tournament quarterfinals will be held on Tuesday (Nov. 20).
