BGVB Adds Transfers Beatty, Molnau To 2026 Squad

Falcons Add Sophomore Setter, Sophomore Outside Hitter Through Transfer Portal
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University volleyball program has added two transfers to the incoming 2026 class. The Orange and Brown will welcome sophomore setter Molly Beatty from Central Michigan and sophomore outside hitter Karli Molnau from Loyola Chicago.
Molly Beatty (Indianapolis, Ind. / Herron / Munciana / Central Michigan)
A 5-foot-11 setter from Indianapolis, Ind., Molly Beatty comes to Bowling Green after spending her freshman season with Central Michigan. Appearing in 46 sets over 19 matches played, Beatty tallied 204 assists on the season for the Chippewas. She added 44 digs, seven blocks and five aces over the course of the season. Arguably her best match of the season came against Bradley on Sept. 12, logging 20 assists and 11 digs for her first collegiate double-double.
Prior to arriving in Mount Pleasant, Beatty played for Herron High School in Indianapolis, becoming a four-year letterwinner. She was named First Team All-City twice as well as All-Conference First-Team honors in 2024. As for club, she played for Munciana, earning an AAU All-American nod.

Karli Molnau (Brookfield, Wis. / Lake County Lutheran / Milwaukee Sting / Loyola Chicago)
A 5-foot-11 outside hitter from Brookfield, Wis., Karli Molnau joins the Falcons after her freshman season with Loyola Chicago. With the Ramblers, Molnau appeared in 116 sets across 32 matches played on her way to an A-10 All-Rookie Team recognition at the conclusion of the season. Molnau tallied 256 kills for Loyola Chicago while maintaining a .216 hitting percentage. She added 60 blocks, 54 digs, five assists and an ace to her stat line. She landed a season-high 19 kills against VCU on Nov. 23 with a .441 hitting percentage in the A-10 Championship.
Before her time with Loyola Chicago, Molnau was a four-year letterwinner for Lake Country Lutheran where she tallied 1,549 kills, 171 blocks, 182 aces and 701 digs over her career. During her senior season alone, she tallied 614 kills, 233 digs, 56 blocks and 46 aces. Molnau was a three-time First Team All-Conference and All-State selection while being the 2024 Conference Player of the Year.
