Austin Named To All-Tournament Team

BOULDER, Colo. - Bowling Green State University women's basketball sophomore Lindsay Austin was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Coors Classic, it has been announced.
Austin, a point guard, averaged 15.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 4.0 steals in the two games at the tournament in Boulder, Colo. Austin tied for the team lead in rebounding and led the Falcons in each of the other three categories.
Austin had a career-high 16 points in the Falcons' Friday (Nov. 23) game vs. host Colorado, and added 14 points, seven boards and seven assists in Saturday's (Nov. 24) against Yale. The seven rebounds vs. the Bulldogs tied a career standard.
Austin was joined on the all-tourney squad by CU's Jenny Roulier and Mandy Nightingale, Yale's Meg Simpson and Houston's Chandi Jones. Roulier was named the tournament's MVP.
The Falcons (1-3) open the home portion of the regular season Tuesday (Nov. 27), hosting Eastern Kentucky University. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at Anderson Arena. The Brown and Orange will host IPFW in a Thursday (Nov. 29) contest, also scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start.
