Falcon Men Fourth After First Day at Notre Dame

South Bend, Indiana - After Thursday's competition, the Bowling Green State University Falcons are fourth overall with 263 points at the Notre Dame Invitational in South Bend. The meet continues Friday (Dec.7) and continues through Saturday (Dec. 8).
In the first event of the finals, two Bowling Green relays participated in the 200 yard freestyle event. The A relay, made up of Dan Reese, Robert McRae, Ray Bartel and Adam Brown finished seventh in a time of 1:27.99. The B relay, comprised of all seniors, finished ninth with a time of 1:31.06. Paul Bizzarro, Kevin Anderson, Tom Mohlman and Chris Thomas made up that team.
Senior Paul Bizzarro finished 22nd in the 500 free with a time of 4:48.63. a one second improvement from prelims. Teammate Dan Reese swam a 4:53.56 to finish 24th.
Senior Adam Brown finished 20th in the 50 free with a time of 22.39, his season best by nearly half of a second.
Divers Josh Clugston and Ian Chertieny finished seventh and eighth respectively, with scores od 365.45 and 363.70.
In the final event of the night, the Bowling Green men swam the 400 medley relay. The A relay of Paul Bizzarro, Ray Bartel, Kevin Anderson and Adam Brown finished sixth in a time of 3:34.24. Lee Whitson, Chris Thomas, Robert McRae and Dan Reese swam a 3:43.94 for ninth place.
