Women's Gymnastics Hosts Ball State

Bowling Green, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University women's gymnastics team will face Ball State on Senior Night at 7 p.m., Friday, February 16, at BGSU's Eppler Center. It will be the final home meet of the season for BGSU. Tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for non-BGSU students.
SENIORS COMPETE IN FINAL HOME MEET
Five seniors will compete in their final home meet including Amber Curry, Heather Dankmyer, Jamie Kent, Cristin McClellan and Jennifer Breneman.
THE RECORDS
BGSU is 5-5 overall and 2-1 against MAC competition. Ball State is 3-4 and 1-2. The Falcons lead the overall series, 14-11.
NATIONALLY SPEAKING
BGSU is ranked 23rd nationally in the vault (48.608) and 21st in the floor exercise (48.846).
Junior Marny Oestreng is 16th in the vault (9.925) and freshman Pia Sjovall is 17th (9.875). Oestreng also is ranked 12th in the uneven bars (9.883).
IN THE MAC
The Falcons have the third best team score of the season (195.000). BGSU ranks second in the vault (48.850) and fourth in the bars (48.725), on the beam (48.650) and on the floor (49.275).
Oestreng is the top performer in the bars (9.925) and floor (9.975) and is third in the vault (9.925) and all-around (39.125). She also is sixth on the beam (9.850).
Sophomore Ann Marie Kassouf is second on the bars (9.875) and sixth in the beam (9.850).
Sjovall is fifth in the vault (9.875) and junior Mindy Untch is sixth on the beam (9.850).
