BGSU Football Announces 2001 Signings

Bowling Green, OH - Bowling Green State head football coach Urban Meyer had these comments on the 2001 recruiting class and his returning team at the press conference announcing the signing of the new class:

"I hope you can tell that I am excited about getting these kids here."

"Next year we will have assistant coaches in contact with every high school in Ohio and it will make the recruiting process a lot easier."

"I hope to red-shirt most of them (the recruits). I think you build your team with what you have and we have a good group of seniors coming back here."

"We are a very aggressive and in-your-face coaching staff and I think the players are getting used to it and they are responding well and hopefully we are going to have a good spring."

"We have a good senior class and I am excited with their leadership. We are going to be better than we were."
