Tuscaloosa, Alabama - The Bowling Green men's track team is taking part in the Alabama Relays this weekend in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The meet, which started Thursday and is being hosted by the University of Alabama, is being contested by 63 men's teams and 56 women's teams.
On Friday, junior Tom Kutter (Eaton, OH) got the Falcons off to a strong start by winning the 10,000 meter race in 30:55.21. Freshman Paul Niedzwiecki (Adrian, MI) finished fifth in the race with a time of 31:10.30.
On Saturday, sophomore Zerian Peterson (Lima, OH) led the way for BGSU. Peterson's time of 47.45 placed him sixth in the 400 meter dash, while a 21.74 w0.1 in the 200 meters gave him 16th place.
The meet continues on Saturday in Alabama, with the relay portion of the meet as well as the remaining field events.
