Baseball Ranks Among National Leaders

Bowling Green, Ohio - Despite not having one player ranked among the top-10 hitters in the Mid-American Conference, the Bowling Green State Univesity baseball team is ranked third in the nation in hitting with a .348 batting average. The Falcons trail only Georgia Tech (.352) and UC Santa Barbara (.350). BGSU also is sixth in the country in runs scored averaging 9.27 runs per game.
The Falcons are 23-10 and lead the East Division of the MAC with an 11-4 record. BGSU boasts a balanced attack at the plate with each of its nine regulars hitting above .300.
Following a home game against Wright State on Wednesday, the Falcons will play Toledo in a four game series this weekend. The Falcons will play at Toledo on Friday (3 p.m.) and Sunday (2 p.m.) and will host a twin-bill against the Rockets, Saturday at 1 p.m. Next week, BGSU alspo will face the top pitching team in the country, Notre Dame, in a single game on Tuesday. The Irish boast a 2.61 team ERA.
