June 09, 2026 | Baseball
Luke Krouse One Of Three Baseball Players In MAC With 4.00 GPA
CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced the Academic All-MAC list for the 2026 baseball season Tuesday morning (June 9). Of those named, Bowling Green had eight players named to the list. The Falcons have now had at least eight players named in each of head coach Kyle Hallock's six seasons at Bowling Green. Prior to Hallock, the single-season high for the Falcons was five Academic All-MAC recipients, hitting the mark in both 2018 and 2019. The list of recipients this year for BGSU includes Luke Krouse, Zack Horky, Carrson Sova, Sam Seidel, CJ Boudreaux, Carter Mottice, Titus Lotz and Ty Roder.
Of the list, Krouse is one of just three players in the MAC for baseball with a 4.00 cumulative GPA. Krouse is joined in the feat by UMass' Jack Beverly and Toledo's Troy Sudbrook.
There were 114 student-athletes named across the conference. Western Michigan topped the conference with 15 followed by Kent State's 13 and 11 for both Ball State and Eastern Michigan. The Academic All-MAC team honor is bestowed upon a student-athlete who has excelled in both athletics and academics. To qualify, said student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests for that particular sport. First-year students and any transfer in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
