Women's Golf Finishes Fifth At MAC Championship

Indian Springs, OH - Behind the solid play of freshman Jenny Schnipke (Kalida, OH) and sophomore Shelley Binzel (Dublin, OH) the Bowling Green women's golf team completed its season Sunday finishing fifth in the annual Mid-American Conference Championship. The event was held at the Walden Ponds Golf Club in Indian Springs, OH.
Schnipke was able to earn second team all-MAC honors after carding a 74 Sunday to finish sixth overall with a score of 229. Binzel shot an 82 in round three to finish in eighth place at 234. In team competition, Kent State took top honors with a three-day total of 887. The Falcons took fifth place with a 967, trailing Toledo by just five shots.
