Temple Coach Bobby Wallace
"I want to congratulate Bowling Green. I thought they played an outstanding game. They played extremely hard. I knew they would come in and play hard, because they played hard against us last year...especially on defense. I thought both defenses dominated the game early."
Q: Can you comment on any differences from this year to last year with Bowling Green?
A: "Their offensive scheme is obviously the big difference. They do a real good job with that scheme. Defensively they give you a lot more looks, they're a lot more complicated from last year. They blitz a lot, and use a lot of twists and stunts. Very tough to pick it all up. We had to establish the run, and just did not get it done."
Q: Can you compare Bowling Green and Toledo?
A: "With all honesty Toledo is a lot better offensively. Defensively with the way Bowling Green's defense played tonight I would say it is pretty even. I'm not here to judge anyone. They have to play each other, anything can happen. At this point and time I would have to say Toledo is stronger offensively."
BGSU Coach Urban Meyer
"I think that win was as big as our first one when we played Missouri. I think that Temple is a very talented team. I remember watching ESPN Gameday and Kirk Herbstreet commented that Temple was his Cinderella team as far as going to a bowl."
"That was a good football team that we beat tonight. When our offensive was not very productive, our veteran defense made some big plays."
"I was really concerned because when you are playing a Big East team or a Big 12 team they tend to start wearing you down and that was a big concern of mine."
"I have to give a lot of credit to our offensive coaches because I was panicking at halftime. They did a superb job. They were very positive with the players ."
"Temple's defense played very tough. They played tough against Toledo and against us. We beat a great team tonight and I thought that the effort tonight was outstanding."
