Toledo Leads BGSU Invitational After Day One, BGSU Third

Bowling Green - Bowling Green State University is in third place after day one of the BGSU Women's Golf Invitational at Forrest Creason Golf Course. The first day was one 18-hole round.
Junior Shelley Binzel is in second place overall for BGSU overall with a 72. Binzel is one stroke behind Western Michigan University's Erica Bienick who leads the invitational with a 71.
Three University of Toledo golfers are in the top10, including Keli Higgins (third-74), Kristin Uhoda (T-4th, 75) and Angie Kephart (T-6th, 76). Toledo leads in the team standings with a team score of 303, followed by WMU (305), BGSU (310), Youngstown State (322) and Oakland University (326).
Other Falcon placers in day one include Shannon Smith (13th, 78), Jenny Schnipke (T-18th, 80) and Julie Wise (T-18th, 80).
The final 18 holes will be played on Sunday, Sept. 23, at Forrest Creason Golf Course.
