BGSU HEAD COACH CURT MILLER:
"I was ecstatic with how hard we played, especially in the first half. We really competed with them. Going into the game, our game plan was to play kind of an up-and-down tempo game. We didn't feel like we could totally take the air out of the ball, and win in the halfcourt, and play in the 40's or low 50's. And, we certainly didn't think we could run with them and play in the 80's. We wanted to try to take advantage of fast breaks when they were there, but walk it up when we didn't have any clear advantages, and really try to make them take our time and make them execute at the defensive end."
"I couldn't be more pleased with the position we put ourselves in at halftime. We had outrebounded them and played an outstanding half of basketball on the road. With the exception of some foul shooting in the first half, we indeed could have had the lead at the half."
"Coming out of halftime, we talked about taking it one four-minute segment at a time. We talked about, if we could win three of those five segments, that we'd have a chance to upset the most talented offensive team in the league on the road. But, in the first eight minutes, we were outscored by 19 points, and all of a sudden, a three-point deficit has become a 22-point deficit on the road, and our tails are between our legs a little bit."
"But, to our credit, our kids never quit, and battled and played hard the rest of the way. I think they're the team to beat in the MAC. To their credit, when their kids play hard, they're very tough to handle and they pose a lot of matchup problems. They have so many offensive weapons, and they can hurt you in so many different ways. You pick your poison."
