BG Women Win First Home Meet of 2002

In its first home meet of the season, the Bowling Green State University Women's Swim team defeated the University of Findlay Friday night at Cooper Pool. The Falcons earned 73 points and held the Oilers to 20 points to seal the victory. Sophomore Jessie Humes led the squad by placing first in two events, the 200 Yard Freestyle (2:00.07) and the 100 Yard Freestyle (55.92).
Other top finishers for the Falcons were junior Amber Adler and senior Kelli Pydynowski. Adler earned a second place finish in the 100 Yard Breaststroke (1:17.08) and a third place finish in the 200 Yard IM (2:30.31). Pydynowski placed fist in the 100 Yard Butterfly (1:02.59).
The Falcons next meet will be Saturday, January 26 at Ball State. The next home meet will be Saturday, February 2 at 1 p.m., when the Falcons host Ohio and Miami of the Mid-American Conference.
