Bridget Protas: BGSU Scholar-Athlete Of The Week

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Bridget Protas is the Bowling Green State University Scholar-Athlete of the Week. Protas, a redshirt sophomore on the BGSU volleyball team, hit .429 with a team-high five total blocks as the Falcons won their lone match of the week.
BGSU downed host Central Michigan in three games (30-22, 30-21, 30-21) in Saturday (Oct. 25) action.
A native of Holly, Mich., Protas had seven kills and just one error in 14 attempts, and also had 13 digs in the victory.
This season, Protas is hitting .211, and is tied for the team lead with 1.05 blocks per game. Protas maintains a 3.72 cumulative grade point average as a biology major.
The Falcons have a busy week in store, beginning with a Wednesday (Oct. 30) match at Toledo. Then, BGSU returns home to face Eastern Michigan in Friday (Nov. 1) action at Anderson Arena, before returning to the road for a Saturday (Nov. 2) match at Kent State.
