FALCONS IN FINAL TUNEUP
The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team will play its final exhibition game of the season when they host Shawnee State. This will be the second year that BGSU has taken on the NAIA squad from Portsmouth. Last year, BGSU broke open a close game at halftime to post an 89-70 victory. In that game Kevin Netter had 19 points, and Germain Fitch and Josh Almanson each had 10 points.
CZECH MATE
The Falcons rolled to a 23-point halftime lead and held on for an 84-67 victory over the Czech Republic Select team on November 9. Senior Cory Ryan lead the Falcons with 27 points and hit seven of 10 attempts from three-point range. Sophomore Germain Fitch had 11 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and three steals and freshman Ronald Lewis added 11 points and three assists.
DAKICH INKS NEW FIVE-YEAR CONTRACT
Bowling Green State University men's basketball coach Dan Dakich has signed a new five-year contract retroactive to last spring, according to Falcon Director of Athletics Paul Krebs. Dakich is 89-57 in five seasons and is second in BGSU history in winning percentage (61.0) and sixth all-time among MAC coaches. The Falcons have averaged 19 wins over the last four seasons, won the 2000 MAC regular season championship, advanced to the 2002 MAC Tournament Championship, and made NIT appearances in 2000 and 2002.

Former Nebraska player Andy Markowski and former Falcon DeMar Moore have joined the BGSU men's basketball staff this season. Markowski comes to BGSU from the University of South Dakota, while Moore returns to the Falcon family as its administrative assistant.
