The Falcons improved to 8-0 overall and 5-0 in the MAC. BGSU is 8-0 for the first time since the 1985 squad won all 11 regular season games and the Falcons are 5-0 in MAC play for the first time since BGSU was 6-0 in the league in 1994.
BGSU equaled its win total from last season making it the 16th time in school history that BGSU has won eight games or more in a season.
BGSU has the second longest win streak in the country at 11 games (Miami has won 30 games in a row). The Falcons also have matched their third longest win streak in school history joining the 1991-92 teams. BGSU won 18 straight from 1958-60 and 14 in a row from 1984-85.
BGSU now owns a 50-15-6 record against Kent State.
BGSU has won six straight road games dating back to last season.
Senior Joe Alls had a career-high 179 yards rushing on 21 carries. His previous best was 167 yards earlier this season at Kansas. Alls has four 100-plus yard efforts this season and eight in his career.
Alls tied his career-high with two rushing TDs. He also had two rushing scores against Buffalo in 2001.
The Falcons 50 TDs scored this season breaks the previous BGSU season best of 47 in 1994.
Sophomore Shaun Suisham broke his single-season BGSU record and now has 46 PATs made and 47 attempts. Suisham also made a 20-yard field goal and has made all 10 of his field goal attempts.
The Falcons had a season-high four interceptions. Junior Janssen Patton picked off his 10th career pass, and fourth in Dix Stadium. Sophomore Keon Newson had his third career pick, while sophomore T.J. Carswell and freshman Jelani Jordan each had their first career INTs.
Senior LB Chris Haneline led the team with 10 tackles and a fumble recovery. He has 25 stops in the last two games. Carswell had a career-high eight tackles.
Freshman RB P.J. Pope had his first career TD reception on a 33-yard screen pass.
Junior quarterback Josh Harris is 12-1 as a starting quarterback. He threw for 201 yards and 2 TDs and ran for his 14th rushing TD of the season.
Senior quarterback Andy Sahm scored his first rushing TD of the season, a 12-yard effort.
BGSU will visit Northern Illinois (6-3, 5-0) next Saturday, Nov. 9, in a game televised by Fox Sports Ohio at 2:35 EST.
