Dakich Inks New Five-Year Contract

Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green State University men's basketball coach Dan Dakich has signed a new five-year contract retroactive to last spring according to Falcon Director of Athletics Paul Krebs.
"Under Coach Dakich's leadership, we have developed one of the finest basketball programs in the Mid-American Conference," said BGSU Director of Athletics Paul Krebs. "Dan tirelessly promotes our community and University more than anyone I know and I am excited about extending the University's relationship with him."
Dakich is 89-57 in five seasons and is second in BGSU history in winning percentage (61.0) and sixth all-time among MAC coaches. The Falcons have averaged 19 wins over the last four seasons, won the 2000 MAC regular season championship, advanced to the 2002 MAC Tournament Championship, and made NIT appearances in 2000 and 2002.
