Cory Eyink: BGSU Scholar-Athlete Of The Week

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Cory Eyink is the Bowling Green State University Scholar-Athlete of the Week. Eyink, a sophomore on the BGSU men's basketball team, had seven points as the Falcons downed Tiffin by a 91-57 score Saturday (Nov. 30).

Eyink, a native of Maria Stein, Ohio (Marion Local H.S.), also had four rebounds, two assists, two steals and a blocked shot in the win. He played 20 minutes in the game, drawing the first start of his collegiate career.

The Falcons posted another convincing win Wednesday night (Dec. 4), with a 76-59 win over visiting Buffalo. In that game, Eyink had a career-high five assists. He also bested a personal mark for minutes played (30) and tied his career best with six rebounds.

Eyink, a marketing major, has a 3.43 cumulative grade point average.

The Falcons of head coach Dan Dakich (2-1) now take to the road for the next three games, facing Northwestern (Dec. 7), Michigan (Dec. 11) and Alabama (Dec. 14 in Mobile, Ala.).
