Lady Falcons Place Third At Bearcat Classic

The Bowling Green Women's Track Team finished third in a field of eight this weekend at the Cincinnati Bearcat Classic. The Falcons earned 137 points en route to third place honors.
Several individuals had impressive performances, including seniors Christine Thompson, Joy Echler and Lori Williams and sophomore Alicia Taylor.
Thompson placed third in both the 800 meters and the 1500 meters with times of 2:19.07 and 4:41.73, respectively. Echler won the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 11:14.71. Williams took home two first place laurels as well. In the discus she threw for a distance of 153-06 while in the hammer throw she notched a 173-06 mark. Sophomore Taylor placed first in the 100 meter hurdles and the 400 meter hurdles with times of 14.44 and 1:03.67.
The Falcons return to action this week at the McDonald Invitational in Athens, Ohio.
