BGSU Women's Golf Team Finishes 11th at Illinois

Urbana, Ill. - The Bowling Green women's golf team finished 11th out of 16 teams on Saturday afternoon at the Illini Spring Classic. The Falcons carded a team score of 671 (330-341) at the Stone Creek Country Club in Urbana, Ill., while host Illinois captured the two-day Classic with a score of 618 (309-309).
Sophomore Jenny Schnipke was the top Falcon, finishing tied for ninth overall with a score of 157 (77-80). Others competing for coach Kurt Thomas' team were Shelley Binzel (T-38th, 166), Stephanie Elsea (T-59th, 173), Shannon Smith (T-68th, 178) and Kari Evans (T-68th, 178).
The Falcons end their regular season schedule next weekend when they compete in the Ohio State Invitational in Columbus, Ohio (April 20-21). The Mid-American Conference tournament will be held April 25-28 in Hamilton, Ohio.
