Falcons Stop Missouri, 51-28

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -

The Falcons moved to 2-0 on the season with Saturday's (Sept. 14) 51-28 win over Missouri.

BGSU has scored over 40 points in four consecutive games, a school record, dating to the end of the 2001 season.

In two games this season the Falcons have scored a total of 75 first-half points.

Joe Alls had 119 yards rushing, his fifth career game of 100-plus yards ... the game marked the second time Alls reached the century mark against Missouri.

Robert Redd had 209 yards receiving (on 10 catches), while James Hawkins had 112 receiving yards (5 catches) ... it marked the first time two Falcon receivers surpassed 100 yards since Redd and David Bautista turned the trick last season at Northwestern ... for Hawkins, the game marked his first career 100-yard receiving contest.

Redd had his eighth career game of 100 or more yards receiving, and his second of over 200 yards ... he became the first Falcons ever to have 200 receiving yards in a game at Perry Stadium ... the old BGSU record in Perry Stadium was 188 yards (Jeff Groth, 188 vs. Grand Valley in 1978) ... the Perry Stadium record is 237 yards by Ball State's Dave Naumcheff in 1983.

Redd now has the top-two receiving games, in terms of yards, in school history ... he had a school-record 215 yards receiving in last year's game at Marshall.

Josh Harris had his second career game with over 300 yards passing, going 16-of-31 for 311 yards through the air vs. the Tigers ... Harris had 402 passing yards in last November's win at Northwestern.

Harris scored a pair of rushing touchdowns, the fourth consecutive game he has had a pair of scores on the ground ... Harris also caught a TD pass, the second of his career.

Mitch Hewitt had his first career interception in the game, and returned the pick for his first career touchdown.

BGSU held Mizzou to 55 rushing yards in 30 carries ... the game marked the 10th time in the last 13 games that BG held the opponent under 100 yards on the ground ... it was the 17th time since the beginning of the 2000 season that a Falcon foe failed to crack the century mark.

Shaun Suisham was perfect on three field-goal attempts and six extra-point tries ... Suisham has surpassed his field-goal total for all of last season, having made five this season after converting three last year ... he has made 54 consecutive PAT attempts, a school record.

Suisham tied the Perry Stadium record for field goals in a game ... a player has now made three field goals in a contest five times at Perry Stadium, including BGSU's Jason Zeller on two occasions (1987 and 1989).

While Harris played nearly the entire game at quarterback, sophomore Cole Magner threw for a team-high two touchdowns on the night ... Magner, a wide receiver, was 2-of-2 for 64 yards and the two scores ... he did spend some time at QB in the 2001 season, and threw for one TD last year.

Missouri's Justin Gage set a Perry Stadium record for receptions (16) ... the old record was 13 catches by BGSU's Mark Dowdell (vs. Central Michigan, 1983) ... Gage also set a school record with the 16 grabs, and tied his own Missouri single-game record with 236 receiving yards ... the latter total was just one yard off Naumcheff's stadium record.
