Women's Golf Finishes T-9th at Wolverine Invitational

Ann Arbor, Mich. - The Bowling Green State University women's golf team finished tied for ninth place on Sunday at the University of Michigan Wolverine Invitational in Ann Arbor, Mich. The Falcons carded a three-round score of 1,005 (+141), finishing tied with Grand Valley State.
Indiana University won the tournament with a 913 (+49) team score.
Senior Shelley Binzel was the top Falcon placer, finishing 14th with a score of 239 (82-80-77). Junior Jenny Schnipke was the only other Falcon in the top-30, finishing tied for 29th with a 248 (86-80-82).
Other BGSU placers were Amanda Schroeder (T-54th, 264), Emily Hassen (T-58th, 92-77-98), Stephanie Elsea (T-63rd, 270), and Kari Evans (T-66th, 273).
BGSU hosts its only tournament of the year this weekend (Sept. 21-22). The 2002 Lady Falcon Invitational will be held at Forrest Creason Golf Course in Bowling Green, Ohio.
