Harris Leads the Nation in Scoring

Bowling Green, Ohio - Junior quarterback Josh Harris is the NCAA IA leader in scoring averaging 16.67 points per game. As a team, the Falcons rank sixth in the country in scoring offense (43.67) and rank among the nation's best in several categories.
Harris, a product of Westerville North High School, had two rushing touchdowns and a TD reception to lead BGSU to a 39-16 win at Kansas, Saturday night. He also is 23rd in the country in total offense averaging 253 yards per game.
The Falcons have two other players who are ranked among the top-10 in the country. Sophomore Shaun Suisham is fifth in the country in field goals averaging 2.0 per game. Suisham also is 13th in the country in scoring averaging 11 points per game. Senior punter Pat Fleming is 8th in the averaging 44.3 yards per punt.
Senior wide receiver Robert Redd is 11th in receiving yards (113.3) and 13th in receptions (6.3). Senior running back Joe Alls is 22nd in rushing (115.3 per game).
As a team the Falcons rank ninth in the country in total offense (469.3), 13th in rushing (232), eighth in net punting (40.54), fourth in rush defense (60.7), 26th in scoring defense (17.0) and 19th in turnover margin (1.33).
IN THE MAC
The Falcons rank first in scoring (43.7), scoring defense (17.0), rush defense (60.7), net punting (40.5), opponent third down conversions (31.1), field goals (6/6) and PATs (16/16).
Fleming is the conference leader in punting, Harris in scoring and Suisham is the league leader in field goals and PATs. Senior Alex Glantzis leads the league in forced fumbles (2), while junior Mitch Hewitt is first in fumbles recovered (2) and defensive touchdowns (2).
The Falcons will host Ohio, October 5 in a 4 p.m. Homecoming contest.
