Xavier Shuts Out Falcons, 4-0

Cincinnati, Ohio - The Bowling Green men's soccer team allowed one goal in the first half and three in the second half, losing at Xavier on Sunday afternoon, 4-0.
Xavier struck first midway through the first half with a goal by Charles Morgan (25:53). Tiest Sondaal assisted.
The Musketeers outshot BGSU 6-0 in the first half but registered just the one goal for a 1-0 lead at halftime over the Falcons.
However, XU (4-3) scored three more unanswered goals in the second half. BGSU goalkeeper David DeGraff surrendered the first three goals of the game before being pulled for redshirt-freshman Jim McCarthy at 76:18. McCarthy had one save and gave up the final goal at 81:24.
The Falcons were outshot 13-4 for the game (all four in the second half) and had just two corner kicks to Xavier's 13. Freshmen Paul Seip, Ben Monnette, Francisco Jose Sanchez and Cory Stevens had the attempts for BGSU.
BGSU (0-8) kicks off Mid-American Conference action this Friday, Sept. 27, with a trip to Kentucky, the defending MAC Champions. Kickoff is schedule for 8 p.m.
