CLEVELAND, Ohio (BGSUFalcons.com) - Members of the Bowling Green State University football team have swept the Mid-American Conference Player-of-the-Week honors, the league office announced Monday afternoon (Oct. 27). Senior Josh Harris earned MAC West Division Offensive P-O-W honors, while senior Janssen Patton was named the West Division Defensive Player of the Week. Junior Charles Sharon was named the Special Teams Player of the Week.
Harris earns Offensive Player-of-the-Week honors for the second time this season and the sixth time in his career. He was honored after the Falcons' win at Purdue earlier this year, and also picked up MAC accolades after wins over Western Michigan and Ohio in 2002 and Northwestern and Toledo in 2001.
Patton earns the honor for the second time this season and the fourth time in his career. He also was named a MAC Player of the Week after BGSU road wins over Kent State (2000) and Missouri (2001). Magner earns such honors for the first time in his Falcon career.
Sharon's honor is his first MAC weekly award.
Harris, a native of Westerville, Ohio, posted the highest total-offense output in MAC history in a league game, and the second-highest overall. He accounted for 527 yards of total offense in guiding the Falcons to a 34-18 win over Northern Illinois Saturday (Oct. 25), with a national-TV audience (ESPN2) and ESPN's College GameDay at Perry Stadium to witness the event.
Harris completed 27-of-43 passes for a career-high 438 yards and three touchdowns in the win over the #12-ranked Huskies. He moved into third place on the BGSU career list, with a total of 41 TD passes as a Falcon. Harris also added a game-high 89 yards rushing in the win.
Harris had 148 yards passing in the game's first three minutes, helping the Falcons to an early 14-0 lead. He had surpassed his previous career high (402 yards at Northwestern) by the end of the third quarter, having thrown for 405 yards in the first 45 minutes vs. the Huskies.

Patton is the lone player in school history to intercept three passes in a game on more than one occasion, and he has done so three times. Patton had three picks as a freshman at Kent State, and also intercepted three passes in the win at Western Michigan on Oct. 11.
Patton's seven interceptions this season leads the MAC and ties him for the national lead in 2003.
