Jarrett Named First-Team Academic All-District

Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green State University senior tight end Craig Jarrett was named first-team CoSIDA Academic All-District IV. He is now eligible to become the school's first football Academic All-American since 1993. Jarrett is the lone tight end honored from a list of Division I schools from Ohio, Tennessee, Kentucky, Michigan and Alabama. He also is one of six MAC players selected on the 24-player first-team. Members of the first team are now eligible to be chosen to CoSIDA's Academic All-American squad. Bob Dudley was the last Falcon football player to earn such an honor back in 1993.
Jarrett, a native of Bellevue, has a 4.0 GPA and is majoring in biology and chemistry. Last year, he was chosen as the BGSU Student-Athlete of the Year. Teammate Vardan Mkhitarian, a senior offensive lineman, was a second-team selection. Mkhitarian, a native of Burbank, California, has a 3.45 GPA and is majoring in Russian.
