The Falcons finished the season with a 4-2 road record overall and a 3-1 mark away from home in the MAC. This marks the first time since (1994) that BGSU has had winning league road record. Ironically, all three BGSU wins in the MAC came when they wore all white uniforms.
The Falcons have posted at least nine wins in back-to-back seasons for just the second time in school history. (1991, 11-1; 1992, 10-2).
BGSU rushed for 295 yards after gaining 297 on the ground last week against Kent State.
Sophomore B.J. Lane had a career-high 115 yards on six carries and notcheed his first-ever game above the century mark on the ground. His 78-yard run was the longest non-scoring run in Falcon history. The Falcons have won 11 straight games in which they have had a player rush for more than 100 yards.
Junior Cole Magner had his eighth TD reception of the season which ties him for the fourth-highest single season total for scoring catches. Jim Ladd (11, 1952), Ronnie Redd (10, 1994) and Robert Redd (9, 2001) are the only players to catch more. Magner shares fourth place with Mark Szlachcic (1991), Stan Hunter (1984), Shawn Potts (1982) and Jeff Groth (1978).
Junior Keon Newson had his first interception of the season and fourth in his career.
Freshman Devon Parks had the second forced fumble of his career and senior linebacker Jeff Runnells recovered his first career fumble.
Junior Jovon Burkes had a team-high 12 tackles and two sacks and has recorded 10 or more tackles for the third time in five games.
Josh Harris had two rushing touchdowns and became the school's all-time career leader in that category with 41 (Dave Preston had 39 from 1973-76). It marked the 15th time in his career that he had two or more running scores in a game and fifth time this season.
Sophomore wide receiver Charles Sharon missed the game to attend the funeral of his grandfather. He has caught TD passes in three straight games.
Harris also had two TD tosses and now has 47 scoring strikes which is second on the all-time BGSU list (Brian McClure, 63, 1982-85).
Here is a list of where Harris' 2003 numbers stack up on the BGSU single-season list after 11 games.
