With the win, the Falcons now lead the series 55-16.
This was the first meeting between the teams(22 miles apart) since the 1993-94 season.
The Falcons have now won 20 straight at home against non-conference opposition since November of 1998.
The Falcons are 2-0 for the first time since the 1999-2000 season.
BGSU's defense was outstanding limiting the Oilers to 27.9% shooting from the floor and just 50 points. Entering the game, Findlay (the 9th ranked team in NCAA II) was shooting 50.2 from the field and averaging 98 points per game.
The Falcons are the second MAC team that Findlay has played this year. Miami defeated them 63-60 in an exhibition game earlier this month.
The Falcon bench outscored the starters 38 to 26.
The Falcons outrebounded the Oilers 50-31.
Senior Kevin Netter had 19 points and had a career-high 11 rebounds. It was the fourth double-double of his career. He also had four blocks.
Freshman Chris Hobson had 11 points off the bench and made four of six shots. His three-pointer at the buzzer before halftime gave the Falcons a 39-26 edge at intermission.
Freshman Austin Montgomery added eight points off the bench and had four rebounds and three assists.
BGSU will visit Bradley, 2-1, on Saturday at 8:35 EST. The Falcons open up MAC play on December 3 at Buffalo and return home on December 6 to face Northwestern at 1 p.m.
