MAC vs. Big Ten
The Motor City Bowl matchup between Bowling Green State University and Northwestern University will mark the first postseason competition between the Mid-American Conference and the Big Ten Conference. In 40 previous bowl games that MAC teams have participated in (including this season's GMAC Bowl), none have gone head-to-head against a Big Ten opponent.
MAC Bowling
This season marks the third-consecutive year that two Mid-American Conference teams have played in a bowl. The MAC is 7-1 in its last eight bowl appearances, including this year's GMAC Bowl. The MAC is 22-18 in 40 bowl appearances.
On More Than The Mulletts
Unlike the vast majority of garbage introduced as new series' each year by the major television networks, the Falcons have outlasted them to make a fifth national television appearance this season. All totaled, BGSU has played on television eight times this year appearing on ESPN Game Plan against Ohio State and twice locally on Time Warner Cable.

Harris Rated Fourth Best NFL QB Prospect
Senior quarterback Josh Harris is the fourth rated NFL QB prospect by the Sporting News War Room. He is listed behind Eli Manning, Ben Roethlisberger and J.P. Losman.
Something To Shoot For
The Falcons are looking to join the 1991 squad and the 1985 team as the only BGSU squads in school history to record 11 wins in a season.
BGSU On ESPN Classic
The 1992 Las Vegas Bowl, featuring BGSU and Nevada, will air Wednesday, December 24 from 1 to 3 p.m. on ESPN Classic. It was the Falcons' last bowl appearance.
